A Month of Momentum: CPRC Films with Senator Vin Gopal and Steps in Front of the Camera for Community Magazine

The past month has been an exciting one for the Coffee Pod Recycling Company.

As CPRC continues working to make coffee-pod recycling simpler, more accessible, and more practical, we have also had new opportunities to share our mission with the wider community. Over the last several weeks, our team filmed a video with New Jersey State Senator Vin Gopal and participated in a professional photoshoot for the cover of Community Magazine.

Both experiences represented important milestones for our company—and powerful reminders of how far CPRC has come.

Filming with Senator Vin Gopal

We were honored to be welcomed by Senator Vin Gopal for a video highlighting CPRC, our products, and the environmental problem we are working to solve.

During the filming, we had the opportunity to explain how CPRC began, demonstrate how our recycling devices work, and discuss our broader goal of helping consumers reduce the waste created by single-use coffee pods.

Senator Gopal has long been an active supporter of local businesses, young entrepreneurs, and community-based initiatives throughout New Jersey. Having the chance to introduce him to CPRC and share our progress was incredibly meaningful to our team.

The video also gave us an opportunity to communicate an important part of our mission: environmental responsibility does not always require dramatic changes to everyday life. Sometimes, meaningful progress begins with designing a simple tool that makes a more sustainable choice easier.

For CPRC, that means helping people separate the recyclable components of their coffee pods quickly and efficiently rather than throwing the entire pod into the trash.

We are grateful to Senator Gopal for taking the time to learn about our company and help bring attention to the work we are doing.

Preparing for the Cover of Community Magazine

Soon after filming with Senator Gopal, the CPRC team stepped in front of the camera again—this time for a cover photoshoot with Community Magazine.

The photoshoot marked another major moment for the company. What began as an idea among students has grown into a registered business with multiple products, filed patents, customers, media coverage, and an expanding network of supporters.

Being photographed for the cover gave us a chance to pause and reflect on that journey.

The shoot featured the CPRC team alongside the products that have driven our growth: our recycling devices for Keurig K-Cups, Nespresso Original capsules, and Nespresso Vertuo pods. Each version represents another stage in the development of the company and another step toward serving more coffee drinkers.

The experience was both professional and fun. More importantly, it allowed us to present the people behind CPRC—not only the products themselves.

Entrepreneurship is often represented by the finished result, but the real story includes countless design revisions, meetings, prototypes, sales, deliveries, outreach efforts, and setbacks. The Community Magazine feature will help tell that fuller story and introduce CPRC to even more families and businesses in our area.

More Than Publicity

Although filming a video and appearing in a magazine are exciting opportunities, these moments are about more than publicity.

They give CPRC a larger platform to educate consumers about coffee-pod waste and demonstrate that young people can build serious companies around solving real problems.

Every new person who learns about CPRC is another potential customer, partner, supporter, or advocate for more sustainable habits. Greater visibility helps us expand our impact and continue improving the products we offer.

This month also reinforced the importance of community support. From elected officials and local publications to our customers, mentors, families, and business partners, CPRC’s growth has been made possible by people who believe in our mission.

Looking Ahead

The past month has been one of the most visible periods in CPRC’s history, but our focus remains firmly on what comes next.

We are continuing to promote our current product line, develop new relationships, reach additional customers, and explore opportunities to bring CPRC devices into homes, businesses, and organizations throughout New Jersey and beyond.

You can find our video with Senator Gopal on our Instagram channel. We look forward to sharing the upcoming Community Magazine feature upon its release.

For now, we are grateful for an extraordinary month—and more motivated than ever to keep building.

The future of coffee-pod recycling is only beginning.
