A Week, One Partner, Zero Stock Left: The CPRC at The Griffith Center

ree

Last week, something pretty big happened for us at The Coffee Pod Recycling Co.

For the first time ever, our Coffee Pod Recycler packs were available at an in-person point of sale: The Griffith Center for Restorative Surgery. We went in hoping to make a good first impression. Instead, we did something we honestly didn’t expect to do so quickly:

👉 We completely sold out of the Griffith Center’s stock of Coffee Pod Recycler packages in just one week.

Our First In-Person Test — And a Big Vote of Confidence

Up until now, most of our growth has happened online and through word-of-mouth. The Griffith Center marked a new chapter: partnering with a real-world location whose patients, staff, and visitors use coffee pods every single day.

We weren’t sure what to expect. Would people stop, look, and keep walking? Would they understand what the Recycler does at a glance? Would they actually pick one up and bring it home?

The answer, it turns out, was a resounding yes.

Within days, we started hearing that stock was moving faster than planned. By the end of the week, every single Coffee Pod Recycler pack at the Griffith Center had been purchased. For a first in-person point of sale, that’s more than just a “good start” — it’s a clear sign that people want simple, practical tools that make sustainable habits easier.

Why This Matters So Much to Us

Selling out is exciting, but why we sold out is what really motivates us.

Every Coffee Pod Recycler pack represents:

  • Less waste going to landfills because coffee grounds and recyclable materials are separated properly.

  • More people making recycling part of their daily routine instead of an afterthought.

  • A bridge between sustainability and everyday life — especially in a place like the Griffith Center, where people are already thinking about health, care, and long-term wellbeing.

The fact that this happened at a medical center feels especially meaningful. Staff and patients are busy. They don’t have time for clunky “eco solutions” that slow them down. The Recycler had to fit into their routine quickly and quietly — and the sell-out tells us it did.

A Huge Thank-You to the Griffith Center Community

We’re incredibly grateful to The Griffith Center for Restorative Surgery for taking a chance on a young company with a big idea. Their willingness to bring our product into their space gave us the opportunity to prove that the Coffee Pod Recycler can thrive in real-world, high-traffic environments.

We’re also grateful to:

  • The staff who supported the rollout and helped explain the Recycler to curious buyers

  • The patients and families who decided to bring a Recycler home and make their coffee routine a little greener

  • Everyone who gave us feedback, asked questions, and shared their experience using it

This wasn’t just a “sales win.” It was a test of whether our mission resonates face-to-face — and thanks to the Griffith Center community, we have a very strong early answer.

What’s Next

Selling out in a week has only made us more determined to keep going. We’re already:

  • Looking at restocking the Griffith Center so more patients and staff can get a Recycler of their own

  • Exploring additional in-person locations where high coffee pod usage meets a strong interest in sustainability

  • Refining our displays and messaging to make it even easier for people to understand how the Recycler works at a glance

This first in-person success is a major milestone for The Coffee Pod Recycling Co., and it wouldn’t have happened without the people who believed in us enough to put a Coffee Pod Recycler on their counter — or by their office Keurig.

To everyone at The Griffith Center for Restorative Surgery: thank you for helping us prove that everyday sustainability can sell out in a week. ☕♻️

Sincerely,

The Team
